The 7th batch of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra (KMY) 2026 via the Nathu La route returned safely to Gangtok after completing the pilgrimage, according to a press release. The group came back following a successful journey to the sacred destination, and the return was marked with an event to recognise the pilgrims’ completion.
To commemorate the end of the yatra, the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) organised a felicitation programme for the returning pilgrims. At the event, two pilgrims—one male and one female—took part and shared their experiences from the trip.
Feedback on arrangements and support during the yatra
The pilgrims described the journey as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They said they felt spiritually fulfilled through the pilgrimage. They also highlighted what they described as a warm, homely environment from the start of the yatra.
In their account, the pilgrims appreciated several aspects of the arrangements made during the trip. They mentioned the quality of food and the transportation provided. They also said there was a prompt response to requirements during the yatra. Along with this, they praised the support staff for their dedication and for helping make the experience comfortable.
Certificates and khadas given at the event
Speaking at the gathering, STDC chairman and chief guest Lukendra Rasaily congratulated the pilgrims for successfully completing the sacred journey. He said the felicitation programme was organised to honour the devotion, determination, and achievement of the pilgrims who completed the revered and challenging spiritual route.
Rasaily presented the completion certificates and traditional khadas to the pilgrims. He also requested the pilgrims to share their positive experiences with friends, relatives, and colleagues. He added that they should help promote STDC’s services and hospitality, and encourage more visitors to come to Sikkim and experience its culture and natural beauty.
