Nepathya to stage first open-air concert in Gangtok under ‘Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim’
Nepal’s folk-rock band Nepathya will perform its first open-air concert in Gangtok as part of the ‘Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim’ series, aiming to draw fans
Nepal’s well-known folk-rock band Nepathya is set to perform its first open-air concert in Gangtok. The show will be held as part of the “Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim” concert series, bringing together Nepali folk traditions and contemporary rock music for audiences in Sikkim.
The band is led by vocalist Amrit Gurung. According to organisers, Nepathya’s music is rooted in indigenous melodies and oral traditions, with inspiration drawn from rural communities and the Himalayan landscape. Organisers say the Gangtok event is designed as a major cultural and musical gathering for the State.

Event planned as a music and culture showcase
Organisers expect visitors not only from across Sikkim, but also from the Darjeeling hills, North Bengal, parts of Northeast India, and from outside India including Nepal and Bhutan. They are also looking at fans from other regions who usually attend large live music events.
The announcement comes after last year’s “Let’s Get Loud Sikkim” edition. That programme featured Sajjan Raj Vaidya and, as per organisers, drew more than 2,000 visitors from outside the State. Organisers said the previous concert generated an estimated circulation of more than Rs. 3 crore in the local economy through spending on hotels, restaurants, transportation, production services, local vendors and other businesses.
Tourism focus linked to local businesses
Positive Vibes Entertainment (PVE) Network said the upcoming Nepathya concert is meant to build on that momentum. The organisers described the plan as more than a live performance, also aimed at highlighting Sikkim’s cultural heritage, cuisine, lifestyle, diversity, natural landscape and hospitality.
PVE Network said they want to use the event to strengthen Sikkim’s position as a destination for music and cultural tourism. More information about the concert, including additional details, will be announced through official channels of the Positive Vibes Entertainment Network and Nepathya.
